Venice 2014: premiere drama by Andrei Konchalovsky



On the last day of the contest 71-th International Film Festival in Venice premiered the drama of Andrei Konchalovsky "White Nights postman Alexei Tryapitsyna" about life in the Russian countryside.



In addition to his wife of director Julia Vysotsky show was attended by Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medina with his wife Marina . The tape is presented in the main competition program of the show and, according to experts, her chances of winning are very high.

As recognized by Andrei Konchalovsky, the creation of the drama was inspired by an article on the Internet about the village postman, who carry about pensions in the abandoned village of Russia . The film's script appeared only during the installation, but almost all of the roles performed by real people, not actors. The shooting took place near Arkhangelsk: drama about a Russian village was the third thematic work of the director. So, in 1967, Konchalovsky directed the movie "The Story of Asya Klyachina who loved, but not married", and in 1994 - "Chicken Ryaba".

Names of the winners will be announced the Venice Film Festival tonight.
