Shocking news from South Africa: Apparently, the goalkeeper of the national team Senzo Meyiwa was shot. The captain of the team succumbed to his injuries. He was only 27 years old.

On Sunday evening Senzo Meyiwa was 20 km south of Johannesburg shot, a police spokesman for the French news agency AFP confirmed. Only a few hours after he stood still for his club on the lawn, the top athlete is dead on the Twitter page of the South African Police states:.. "We need to break the normal protocol, we can confirm that the Bucs goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa shot was and, sadly, had to be explained on the way to the hospital dead". In another post promises the police to do everything we can to find the killer.

Meyiwa played in June 2013 for the first time for the national team. Yet on Saturday he played in a match for the Orlando Pirates, in which his team 4: 1 victory against Ajax Cape Town. For his good athletic achievements, he was celebrated until the last match.
